With concerns over health issues, physical activity and sport have become key requirements in everyone's lifestyle. Policy makers at local and European levels, are actively promoting sport and physical activity not only with the view of improving health and physical wellbeing, but also to enhance the role that sport can play in boosting social cohesion, for its educational value and for economic reasons. It is therefore crucial that a clear understanding of the value of sport is gained in order to determine ways of improving the services in this sector. This degree course will equip students with the necessary skills to address the challenges of delivering quality sport and physical activities and their benefits to individuals, communities and societies.
